With the abundance of 3D modelling software and the ability to see every angle of a project instantaneously, renderings are often thought of as a last minute tool for representation. This project uses presentation as a tool for design. Using architectural representation to understand space, this project first tries to capture real life scenarios to test perspective, colour, light, and photography techniques such as shutter and aperture. Photos taken at MOMA and Times Square set up tones and atmosphere for the final rendering project - red, blue, and window openings. The final renderings inscribed a desert zone: unoccupied mountain range, vast dry grassland, and a national highway road. One lonely gas station stands aside the road, serving gas, food and coffees for drivers passing by. But the basement is another world, an oasis with big skylight openings, a water fountain, greenery courtyards framed by glossy glass, and stylish furniture to rest on.
